Pastor Roddy was born again in 1995, beginning an extraordinary journey that eventually led him to Niceville and the Emerald Coast. His background includes coaching at the high school and college levels, working in a boys’ home, serving in youth ministry, teaching in Bible college and owning a nationwide business.

His greatest accomplishments are his family—his wife, Danielle, their daughter, Julia, and their son, Jake. He is a devoted husband and father who considers his family one of God’s greatest blessings and expressions of favor in his life.

Alongside his pastoral and Bible-college teaching responsibilities, Pastor Roddy has spoken at conferences and leadership seminars across the nation. His passion is contagious, and his uncompromising preaching and leadership style consistently bless, challenge and motivate people.

At the heart of his ministry is a desire for every believer to see clearly who they are and what they possess in Christ.

Pastor Danielle Shaffer is originally from Shreveport, Louisiana. After attending St. Vincent’s High School, she enrolled at Ole Miss before returning home to pursue her nursing degree at Grambling University. She has been a registered nurse since 1994 and has served in numerous hospital settings.

Her path into ministry began after nursing school when she attended Rhema Bible Training College in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 1994. While studying at Rhema, she worked as a nurse at St. Francis Hospital and was trained in the teaching ministry. After graduating in 1996, she returned to Louisiana and served at Living Word Worship Center as preschool director and in many other areas of ministry.

After meeting and marrying Pastor Roddy, they began serving together as junior-high pastors. Following Pastor Roddy’s graduation from Rhema, they returned to serve as youth pastors from 2003 through 2009. During that season, Pastor Danielle also served full time as the ministry’s children’s director.

Today, she works hand in hand with Pastor Roddy at Champion Life Church, using her passion for people and her teaching gift to strengthen the ministry. She is a gifted Bible teacher with a deep heart for children and families, and her leadership as co-pastor continues to be a vital part of Champion Life’s growth and impact.
